The Maxabeam is a staggeringly powerful searchlight that delivers up to 12 million candlepower of light. Designed for military search and rescue missions, the beam of this searchlight is so strong it can deliver enough light to read a newspaper by from 4km away.
The Maxabeam is the latest in a line of searchlights that have been used by the United States Armed Forces and many other international military and governmental organisations for over 20 years.
The Maxabeam comes complete with a rechargeable Li-Ion battery pack, mains charger, car charger and is packed in a fully waterproof and crushproof Storm case.
The unit has a weather-resistant housing, a unique short-arc Xenon lamp and a finger-tip controlled beam adjustable from a 1 degree spot to a 40 degree flood light.
The searchlight’s lamp life is 500 hours and this unit will operate for 110 minutes from the fully charged Ni-Cad battery pack. This is a truly exceptional unit similar to the searchlights slung under military and police helicopters for search and rescue and suspect apprehension operations.
