This is our latest, in a long line, and  most sophisticated, rugged and small (70*50*20mm, not much bigger than a matchbox) Covert Tracking Unit that can update a moving target’s positions down to every 15 seconds with an accuracy of a few meters.  It is complete with extremely strong integrated magnets to attach it easily to vehicles and other metal objects.

It uses the latest, state of the art, Assisted Global Positioning (GPS) and GSM Data Communications (GPRS) technologies to give accurate positions to within meters and it requires nothing external such as antennas, batteries, etc. everything is self contained.

There is also an extremely sensitive movement sensor which will only activate the unit when the target has been moved.  This not only greatly extends the battery life but also eliminates the storage of unnecessary information when the target is stationary.

All the location information is forwarded to a secure website that stores all the data of the tracker, location, battery life, accuracy, time and date which is then displayed on street level mapping almost anywhere in the world (utilises the maps and satellite imagery of Google Maps and Google Earth).  If a pay as you go SIM card is used in the tracker the website even displays the credit left on the card so that you can always keep it topped up remotely.

There is also a Geo-Fencing option on the website which will alert you to the target entering or leaving a certain key area.

The tracker has a range of configuration options to maximise its usage and so cater for your individual needs all of which are easily set via simple SMS text messages whenever and wherever these changes are required.  These configurations include SMS on first movement, frequency of positions sent to website when target is mobile, all timings and alerts and many more.

There is even a mobile phone porthole on the website which allows the real-time positions of the tracker to be viewed on a street map on any mobile phone with web access, wherever you are whenever you want.

Running costs are limited to the GPRS costs of the SIM card used in the tracker.  Currently Vodafone UK charges 50 pence per day for unlimited data when information is sent; there are no costs for the maintenance, etc. of the website.

For total autonomy the system can be set to bypass the website completely and positions can be sent via SMS direct to any mobile number in the world.  These will be by way of a Latitude and Longitude position which can then be shown on any mapping system.  This is also set via SMS messages.

The sophisticated power modes and an intelligent battery system allow the unit to work for up to 21 days whilst tracking a moving target for a few hours every day, to over a year for seldom moved items such as valuables or remote alarms.

Operation could not be easier – simply charge the unit, turn it on and attach it to the target then view its movements, history, live positions, etc. on the website.
