A complete history of the Royal Navy, starting in 1500AD right up to the Falklands War.
CD1 - The Kings Ships - 1500 - 1599. Beginning with the creation of the Royal Navy under the orders of King Henry V111 going through to the climactic showdown and defeat of Spain's apparently invincible Armada in 1588 which laid the groundwork for Britannia's Rule of the Seas in the ensuing years.
CD 2 - Wooden Walls - 1600 - 1805. The 17th century saw Britain's war efforts aided by Samuel Pepys' codification of naval tactics which transformed naval battles into scientific tactical games of Chess. This CD takes you up to Admiral Horatio Nelson's victory at the Battle of Trafalgar in 1805 after which Britain's mastery of the waves was once again re-established.
CD 3 - The Sun Never Sets - 1806 - present. Wooden walled ships were soon replaced by iron and steel. When the Super-ship Dreadnought was launched in 1906 it sparked a naval arms race with the Germans that culminated in the gigantic showdown at Jutland during World War 1. Later on in World War 11 Churchill instructed the Royal Navy to "Sink The Bismarck" after which they pursued the Graf Spree. This particular CD ends in the Falklands War where once again the resolve and effectiveness of the Royal Navy was demonstrated.
