It comes with built-in Lithium-ion batteries that are charged via the USB adaptor charging cable that comes with the unit to give up to 2 hours of record time.  A 1GB card (not included) will store up to 30 minutes of super high quality video and audio or up to 4500 stills at 1.3 megapixels each.

And the stills and video and audio recordings can be played back on a PC, MAC or a cellular phone.
