This jacket is the latest in IIIA bulletproof jacket design, specifically developed for press operating in hostile territory. Whilst this body armour one of the lightest vests on the market it still offers excellent all round protection.
It is certified to NIJ level IIIa which will stop. 44 magnum and all lesser rounds. There are front and rear pockets on this jacket for inserting hard armour, either ceramic or Famostone, to increase the protection level. For more information on plate specifications please click here.
This body armour features an expansive protection area covering the neck and the groin as well as unique upper arm guards, which are important in preventing projectiles travelling through the upper arm into the body.
The press jacket is dark blue in colour and can be offered with removable, reflective 'PRESS' labels for the front and rear. It can also be supplied in desert tan colour. The jacket has external pockets for housing film, batteries and cellular phones.
